Maybe we decided to get drunk a little early, you know, in honor of St. Patrick chasing all the snakes out of Ireland and onto the airplane on which St. Samuel L. Jackson eternally sits, unsuspecting. Whether or not drunkenness informed the decision to close novel submissions and re-open short story and flash fiction submissions, well, that is beside the point. Because we just did it and there’s no turning back, only turning in (your work).

Short story and flash fiction submissions are now open.

Make sure to read the submission guidelines lest you become the anonymous subject of a snarky Tweet. Cover letters are not necessary, but here is an example of one. Submissions are open indefinitely. Stay tuned for a deadline, expect another book. We promise to consider your work carefully, soberly–literally.

We’re always accepting writing submissions, but currently are on the hunt for great short stories and short-shorts for an upcoming fiction collection. You don’t have to be a previously published author to be considered, however you do need to show us the goods. The guidelines for what we’re looking for can be found on our submissions page. We look forward to seeing what’s been bouncin’ around in those creative minds of yours.

P.S. We pay our authors. Spread the good word.
