Susan Lilley is a Florida native. Her work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Gulf Coast, Poet Lore, The Southern Review, Drunken Boat, Saw Palm, Hippocampus and Sweet, among other journals. She is past winner of the Rita Dove Poetry Award and has two chapbooks, Night Windows and Satellite Beach. She teaches literature and writing at Trinity Preparatory School and has taught at University of Central Florida and Rollins College. She was recently appointed inaugural poet laureate for the city of Orlando.
