Holly Tavel is the author of a short story collection, The Weather in Fritz Bemelmans Park (Equus Press, 2015). Her work has appeared in McSweeney's Quarterly, The Brooklyn Rail, elimae, Torpedo, Diagram Journal, ––which awarded her its innovative fiction award in 2008––and many others. She holds an MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University and has taught creative writing at the university level since 2005. In 2009 she was awarded a Fulbright in Creative Writing to the Czech Republic. In addition to fiction-making, she is also a musician and artist.
