Speakeasy – The Divine Edition

Speakeasy – The Divine Edition

posted on March 7th, 2011 by Jana Waring

Come to Will’s Pub this Tuesday, March 8, 9:30pm, to hear our very own, Ryan Rivas, read about God and South Beach. We will have a table set-up at the event. So come, meet us and buy our books (AND BUY OUR BOOKS!). If you’re very nice, Ryan may even make you a bookmark on the spot.

Speakeasies are held every third Thursday at Will’s and are hosted by Orlando’s own Tod Caviness, Orlando Sentinel’s Listings Coordinator for Arts and Entertainment Events, blogger, over all good guy and poetry lover. What happens at these events: Tod gives a challenge to writers through his blog and then people show up, read what they wrote, in hale stale cigarette smoke from the night before and maybe some start-up smoke for that night’s venture, drink PBR’s, talk and slap high-fives. Sounds like fun, right? Or if you’re Ryan Rivas, it’s heaven.

You are somehow calling me a hipster, Jana, and I do and do not appreciate that all at the same time.
