Hi,
The Power plant is NOT Nuclear. The Sanford plant is currently Oil Fired, and is in the process of being transitioned to Natural Gas fired Turbine.

None of the power plants in the Greater Orlando area (And for that matter in the Interior Peninsula part of the state are Nuclear. All of Florida’s Nuclear plants are required to be on the coastline to provide a source of salt water for a final last resort cool-down method. (Like in Japan, not the best, but that is also why it is last resort.)
Sincerely,
Mark
