I don’t think he gets enough sleep. I get up in the middle of the night to pee, and I can hear the white noise of the off-air channel as the static strobes blue and the speaker hisses behind his door. This is what growing old in Lansing is. The television takes you to bed.

Jonathan Kosik

Jonathan Kosik is a native Chattanoogan. A resident of Central Florida for the last decade, give or take a couple of years spent working in Seattle and Minneapolis, he teaches in the Creative Writing BFA program at Full Sail University. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida and has been fortunate enough to have had work published by Monkeybicycle, Glossolalia, Clapboard House, Bartleby Snopes and a short story included in the first collection published by Burrow Press, Fragmentation.
